Did the Palestinians sell land to Israel? It is not. In short, Britain first provided land for Jews and even Zionists for the establishment of the state of Israel. It is worth noting that before 1920, there were less than 6,000 Jews living in the area. More than 22,000 Palestinians were killed in 20 years for the occupation of these lands, and even the Jews who were against these occupations were killed, and thus the state of Israel was re-established with the help of Britain and the United States. ۔
This was one of the main reasons for the overthrow of the Ottoman Caliphate. After seizing several acres of land from the Palestinians on various grounds, confiscating it by state repression, martyring the local population, the Zionists were then given pennies, and later the Israeli Jews bullied the surrounding lands at gunpoint. Start the occupation while doing.
This process continues today. Even today, land is seized in the name of Jewish settlement, buildings are demolished, and ghettos are built with new buildings.
The same thing was happening in Ramadan this year. Israel now intends to establish ghettos in the Sheikh al-Jarrah area. The area was relatively prosperous and quiet. Part of Sheikh al-Jarrah's population is made up of Palestinians who were evicted from the Talbiyah area in 1948. Family members living here also live abroad, especially in the United States, the Gulf and other prosperous countries.
In 1972, Israel transferred ownership of the land to a Jewish organization called Al-Safraim. It is said that the Palestinians living here came here as refugees and do not have any property documents. You see the level of Israeli bullying that Palestinian documents are not recognized by Israeli courts. Al-Safraim and the Israeli government went to the Supreme Court over the issue. The Supreme Court issued orders to vacate Sheikh Al-Jarrah after a long delay. The Israeli government had told the Supreme Court in a sealed envelope that evacuating the area could lead to war. The Supreme Court did not accept this and insisted on evacuating these areas. When the operation was launched here, the news spread like wildfire and protests started all over the world. The news continued to be discussed on social media, mainstream media.
Palestinians go to Al-Aqsa Mosque from Damascus. On May 10, the Zionists celebrated the anniversary of the 1967 occupation of Jerusalem, "Jerusalem Day." Due to Ramadan, Muslims have asked Jews to observe this day after Ramadan so that Taraweeh can be performed without interruption. But perhaps the Zionists had decided on a confrontation and the way was being paved for it. The scene that evening was that on the one hand the Zionists were gathering on the weeping wall and on the other hand the Muslims were also engaged in performing Taraweeh in Jerusalem. The Zionists, under full planning, started making noise instead of worshiping in the weeping wall. When the Muslims forbade him, the bitter rhetoric later turned into a scuffle. The Israeli army and police entered the compound of Al-Aqsa Mosque and fired grenades and bullets. Only Muslims were arrested in the operation, and the Israeli army banned Taraweeh prayers at Al-Aqsa Mosque.
In response, a large number of Muslims returned to Al-Aqsa Mosque the next day, and hundreds of Muslims were wounded and arrested in the Israeli operation. The Israeli army sealed off the entire compound and deployed troops there. On this occasion, Hamas came to the fore. He gave Israel an hour's ultimatum and made three demands. One is that the Israeli army should be evacuated from the compound of Al-Aqsa Mosque before 6 pm. Second, the arrested Muslims should be released immediately and third, the ongoing operation in Sheikh Al-Jarrah should be stopped immediately. Hamas also said the situation could worsen if demands were not met.
Israel did not accede to the legitimate demands of Hamas and intensified the operation by blindly using brutal force against Sheikh Al-Jarrah. Now Hamas also had no choice but to respond with bricks and stones. So after 6 pm, Hamas fired more than 100 rockets at Israel from different parts of Gaza. 70% of these rockets were destroyed in the air by the Israeli air defense system Iron Dome. But the 30 percent of rockets that landed in Israel caused confusion and tremors in Israel. Israel is acknowledging the deaths of 10 people in the attack, while the number is thought to be higher.
After Sheikh Al-Jarrah, Israel also attacked Gaza, in which about 300 Palestinians have been martyred so far, the infrastructure has been destroyed, the number of wounded has exceeded two thousand. Hamas targets Israeli installations, while Israel attacks civilians. One thing that stands out here, however, is the failure of the Iron Dome.
